We continue to use the genus names per Sander. There have been many changes in taxonomy accepted by the RHS and AOS. The Schomburgkia genus has been eliminated, and species transferred into Laelia (L.) and Myrmecophila (Mcp.). Intergeneric hybrids are now known as Bromecanthe (Brm.), Caulaelia (Cll.), Laeliocattleya (Lc.), Laeliocatanthe (Lcn.), Myrmechea (Myh.), Myrmecocattleya (Myc.), Myrmechea (Myh.), Myrmecavola (Myv.), Rechingerara (Rchg.), Rhynchomyrmeleya (Rmy.) and Wilmotteara (Wmt.). In the hope of avoiding confusion, we also show the new genus names in parentheses where different from Sander nomenclature.
