The section Spatulata includes the species antennatum, bicaudatum, canaliculatum, gouldii, johannis, lineale (syn. veratrifolium), stratiotes, strebloceras, taurinum, undulatum and their hybrids and their hybrids. Freely hybridizes with the Phalaenthe section, together they comprise the hard cane dendrobiums.
Culture Notes: Grow under cattleya conditions. Heavy water and fertilizer during growing season, drier and less fertilizer during the winter.
