Includes the species affine, bigibbum (phalaenopsis), compactum, dicuphum, schroederianum, superbiens, williamsianum and their hybrids. Freely hybridizes with the Spatulata section, together they comprise the hard cane dendrobiums.
Culture Notes: Grow under cattleya conditions and keep warm in winter, minimum 55-60 winter temperature.
