We continue to use the genus names per Sander. There have been many changes in taxonomy accepted by the RHS and AOS. Some species including bictoniensis and maculata were transferred from Odontoglossum into Rhynchostele, and most of the remaining Odontoglossum species were moved into the Oncidium genus although there is a strong sentiment among some to return them to Odontoglossum. Cochlioda noezliana is now Oncidium noezlianum. Intergenerics that were previously known as Colmanara (Colm.), Odontioda (Oda.), Odontiona (Odtna.), Odontocidium (Odcdm.) and Wilsonara (Wils.) are now known as Oncidium (Onc.) and Oncostele (Ons.). In the hope of avoiding confusion, we also show the new genus names in parentheses where different from Sander nomenclature.
